Fungal Fortunes

Description

We welcome guest speaker William Padilla-Brown, owner and operator of MycoSymbiotics, a small mycological research and spawn production business focusing on radical sustainability and Cordyceps mushroom cultivation. The field of mycology has never been more accessible to the public, with online forums, books from experts, and workshops in almost all major cities in the U.S. We are seeing more and more amateur mycologists contributing to our understanding of fungi. With “Fungal Fortunes” William will be sharing with us how he started culturing wild mushrooms, started an edible mushroom farm, and ultimately how he learned to grow Cordyceps mushrooms. The presentation includes a discussion on biohacking yourself with nootropic, and adaptogenic fungi, mushrooms, sclerotia, and lichen.
